Private sewerage network

Maintenance of the private sewerage network

From accumulated experience it seems that blockages and faults in the domestic sewerage network are caused by throwing sanitary products, wet wipes, disposable diapers, bandages and more into the lavatory.

These products absorb liquids and can create a blockage in the sewerage network. As a result of these mishaps and blockages, the sewage overflows, and causes environmental and public health hazards.

In houses with gardens, an inspection should be made once a year to check if roots of various plants have penetrated into the sewerage system, and if so, a plumber should be called to remove them.
